Goal: to monitor your sequencing results over time, and finish the experiment with a successful MinKNOW and EPI2ME report.

As MinKNOW is running, you will be able to see reads appearing in real-time. The MinKNOW software includes some essential plots to indicate how well your run is progressing. In this section, we explain these plots and demonstrate what you should be seeing from a successful run. We recommend you compare the examples in this section to your own run as it progresses, so that you can confirm you have prepared and loaded the sample correctly.

Once reads are produced by MinKNOW, they will be basecalled and the sequences sent through the EPI2ME workflow to be aligned to the reference RNA sequence. You will be able to see your reads mapping in real-time, and examine some common statistics such as run yield and read accuracy. You can use the report to confirm that you have produced a successful library.
