Boot to the "Platform Rescue and Recovery" screen.

Click the "Format disks and lose /data" option.

Once returned to the following screen, click the top "Customer Factory Reset im" option.
Note: this step may happen automatically and proceed immediately to step 4 without user input.

If the system takes more than 20 minutes between Step 2 and returning to the following screen, click "Standard Installation".

Allow the factory reset to continue.
Note: It is normal behaviour for the system to restart multiple times. Do not turn off the PromethION Data Acquisition Unit/GridION while the reset is in progress.
It is also expected behaviour for the progress bars to stay temporarily stuck at specific stages.

Once the reset is complete, you will be prompted to login.
